Inspired by the exploits of the ‘Bentley Boys’ at the famous Brooklands racetrack in the 1920’s, the new Bentley Brooklands captures all the style, power and splendour of that era. A grand touring coupé with classic British proportions and a strictly limited lifetime production of 550 cars. With the first year’s production already sold out, and the first deliveries to begin in the first quarter of 2008, it’s clear that the Bentley Brooklands is destined to become a collectors' classic.

Exterior
Bentley Brooklands customers have an extensive choice of ‘standard fit’ exterior colours including new Venusian Grey and Titan Grey. In addition, customers can also tailor their cars to their individual specification through Bentley Mulliner’s bespoke colour matching service.

The Bentley Brooklands dynamic handling combined with superb ride comfort is enhanced with the specially developed 20-inch wheels and tyres that combine Arnage T handling with Arnage R comfort.

Interior
As with every Bentley, peerless craftsmanship and bespoke finishing are to the fore. Every item of trim, be it veneer, hide or chromed bezel, uses authentic materials. Bentley Brooklands customers will be able to specify their car in an extensive choice of 27 hides (including new Anthracite Grey, Newmarket Tan and Cashew) and four veneers (including new Dark Stained Vavona).

Beneath the muscular, coach-built body of the Bentley Brooklands lies the most powerful Crewe-built V8 ever produced, developing 530bhp (395kW) and a maximum torque of an astonishing 774lb ft (1050Nm), the highest ever torque output of any V8 automotive engine in the world.

Performance figures capture supercar performance from a luxury four-seater coupé. The Bentley Brooklands is capable of reaching 60mph in just 5.0 seconds
(0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds), has a top speed of 184mph (296km/h) and with an enhanced chassis and optional carbon carbide brakes, provides the handling to match the awesome power.

Design
Bentley’s rich coupé heritage provided the stimulus for the design team to create a powerful, muscular and rakish grand touring coupé. Beautiful flowing lines pay tribute to the traditional coach-building skills synonymous with Bentley whilst its design and engineering allow for a contemporary take on tradition.

The Bentley Brooklands sporting pedigree is unquestionable. Its low roofline with dramatically raked front and rear screens, pillar-less, elongated glass area and graceful, prominent haunches lend to a sleek, purposeful appearance. This exclusive character is further distinguished by ‘Le Mans’ front wing vents and brushed aluminium treadplates, a dark-tinted steel Bentley matrix grille and an optional
Flying ‘B’ retractable radiator mascot.

As the Bentley Brooklands is to be strictly limited in volume, the design allows Bentley to introduce unique features that necessitate specialist coach-building techniques. The ‘floating’ rear screen with it’s lower edge sitting well above the upper edge of the boot lid provides a flowing, flawless line to the back of the car. A feature that can only be achieved by individually hand-welding the rear wings to the C-pillars.

Craftsmanship
Bentley's renowned craftsmanship skills in wood veneers and leather hides are once again employed to ensure that every hand-assembled Bentley Brooklands benefits from the same traditional coach-building techniques befitting of the Bentley heritage. A ‘design house’ rather than car company attitude to Bentley interiors ensures that the Bentley Brooklands’ beautiful hand-finishing is no different to a bespoke suit or haute couture dress.

Sumptuous, hand-crafted luxury with a distinctly sporting character. The interior design of the Bentley Brooklands lends itself to a sporting atmosphere, complemented by design aspects such as aluminium foot pedals, footrest and distinctive new “Sandwich” piping that sits flush with the stitching. Yet it still offers the highest levels of comfort and legroom to all four occupants.

The interior design echoes the sleek profile of the elegant exterior by offering a new, single-piece, hide-trimmed roof lining which flows uninterrupted from the front windscreen to the rear of the car. This extensive use of leather hides makes Bentley the only manufacturer in the world to offer a cabin entirely trimmed with leather hides. The pillar-less window design and wider front and rear cabin with individual, electronically operated seats in the rear, help to enhance the feeling of comfort and space.
